DATA ARCHITECT IV

Listed in the Inc. 5000 for multiple consecutive years as the fastest-growing Talent Management platform in America, we are expanding the Data & AI team, whose mission is to empower ClearCompany to differentiate in the software market by leveraging our visibility across the entire employee journey.

The base salary for this role is $140,000-$150,000 annually.

WHO YOU�LL WORK WITH

• As a Data Architect IV at ClearCompany, you'll join the talented and collaborative Data & AI team, part of the larger Technology team w/in the R&D organization.

• You�ll have the opportunity to work with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, devops engineers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, user experience designers and more.

WHAT YOU�LL DO

As a Data Architect IV, you'll join the talented and collaborative Data & AI (D&AI) team, responsible for internal data products and services that empower our Engineering and Product teams to deliver innovative and differentiating products and services to our customers. This is a highly visible role with tremendous opportunity to impact the success of AI product development.

Wondering what the first year on the job looks like? Here's a glimpse:

• Ramp up on your new position and gain exposure to our operational data stores, via creation of conceptual data models.
• Empathize with various stakeholders to identify business needs and technical requirements.
• Design analytical data store logical and physical models, based on various considerations.
• Participate in critical tooling decisions for analytical data stores and transports.
• Collaborate to implement and support data models w/in our analytical data stores.
• Participate in Engineering discussions to advise on data mesh data patterns to support application microservices.
• Collaborate with D&AI teammates to establish and evolve standards and processes.

OUR TECHNOLOGY STACK

We expect this to evolve quickly, and with your guidance, but here is the current state:

• Storage: MySQL, Postgres, S3, Snowflake
• Languages: Bash, C#, Perl, Python, SQL, Tcsh
• Environments: AWS, Hadoop

WHAT WE�D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

• 10+ years experience working as a Data Architect.
• Deep understanding of multiple data frameworks and best-practices, and able to leverage that understanding to inform critical architecture decisions.
• Develops thoughtful data models that will enable customer value, now and in the future.
• Comfortable working in a place of ambiguity to solve difficult problems with a significant impact on the business.
• Works effectively in a cross-functional remote environment, actively communicating with teammates to complete priorities.
• Excited by opportunity and driven to do excellent work.
• Understands the importance of clear documentation.
• Makes mistakes, reflects on them, and applies lessons-learned.
